WordPress and PHP version requirements have been updated.
Note that the minimum requirements of all plugins and extensions has been updated to WordPress v3.5 (released December 11, 2012) and PHP v5.4 (released March 1st, 2012).
What is the difference between NGFB and WPSSO?
NextGEN Facebook (NGFB) was replaced by WPSSO on September 14th, 2015 — both plugins have the same author, the same core features and code-base, but WPSSO is distributed without the sharing buttons and related features (making WPSSO about 20% smaller than NGFB). If you already have NGFB Pro licenses, don’t worry, NGFB will continue to be supported for many years. ;-) If you’d like to purchase additional NGFB license(s), consider migrating to WPSSO and purchasing WPSSO license(s) instead. ;-)
Did you know about all these WPSSO extensions?
Extensions are available under the “Extension Plugins and Pro Licenses” settings page. All extensions have a Free version, and most extensions have a Pro version as well (note that WPSSO Pro is required to use Pro extensions as they depend on many Pro features being available). ;-)
Are you using Schema JSON-LD Markup for Google?
If you’re not using the WPSSO JSON extension, you really should. :-) It can provide comprehensive information about your content to Google — much more than meta tags or even Schema Microdata markup in theme templates (which is often inaccurate anyways). :-) SEO plugins are great for keyword analysis, but don’t offer the depth and detail that WPSSO and WPSSO JSON provide in their markup for Google — give the Free version a spin and let me know what you think. ;-)
You can help out by testing and rating the plugins you use.
NGFB and WPSSO Pro customers have the option of updating to Development and Pre-release versions! If you have a Development website, you can test upcoming releases by selecting a Development stage under the “Update Manager” settings page. If you find any issues, open a ticket on our Pro support website, and we’ll get it fixed ASAP. You can also re-install the Production version at any time by simply re-selecting the Production stage in the “Update Manager” settings page. ;-)
We care about what we do! Sales are nice, but what really motivates us is hearing about how you’re enjoying the plugins and how they contribute to your success! :-) If you have a minute, it would be awesome if you could rate the plugins and extensions you use. :-)
